Worship in an African setting

Worship in an African perspective is one activity that is basically self-driven. Right from my childhood, I have seen people worship God spontaneously. There is never a team of worshipers who lead the rest of the congregation in worship and Praise services. Rather one person led the whole Church and these people are never elected specifically for that purpose but rather such people always come from the congregation and started singing a song and once it is realized that they are doing well such a person would normally go on and on. Obviously there would come a time when such a person could cease, there would always be some other person who would take over that responsibility because worship songs where sang by everyone and everyone knew the words of the songs by heart. This would make leading very easy and there used to be quite few songs that would be easy to remember. One specific vivid experience I used to witness was during prayer sessions where people would weep during praying s...

Happy New Year... i am most of the times disappointed with sound in Uganda, But this time round, it was superb everything to do with sound was perfect. I liked the crispness of the sound and the music likewise was real nice and i missed Sis Carol having a Live Performance as was the case during her 25th Concert which i enjoyed every part of the performance. Let me make it clear here only the Live performances and forget about the Mimes(sorry for being Rude here my friends). I have friends who are actually trying to sing but only Mime for us the audience and this most of the times really pisses me off. Have a small suggestion and i know Live music is expensive but who wants a cheap substitute? imagine Isiah Katumwa having a show that costs a single person 250,000/= i am sure the one who pays that much never comes back disappointed. So Sis Carol could you have it as your signature to always perform live? i would love that. Also Last year 2011-2012 i was there and if i am not mistaken ...

KCCA

Hahahahaha ...... Hoooooo hohohohohoh ...... KCCA KCCA KCCA I wonder who bewitched Ugandans, how do you expect to clean the city by just removing the soil brought in by rain water? how do u expect to keep our drainage clean by just removing the silt there in? Why can't we have common sense that with the population still practicing dumping of rubbish in drainage KCCA is wasting time and Tax payers Money? Do we need to go to school to know that? Why can't we learn from our neighbors? To day as it rained so hard, i saw KCCA workers trying to clean the drainage around the City, i say Good Job done but you people are working too hard but not smart. In this generation we need to work SMART NOT HARD. We only need a Law that will deter Ugandans from being reckless with their Gabbage.
