Evangelism Confference
All the born again Churches in Muyenga Bukasa Kampala District in Uganda organized a conference on evangelism That ran from Friday 21 May 2011 to 23 May 2011. This conference was held at LIFE TABERNACLE WORHIP CENTRE KIWAFU-KANSANGA.
The last day of the conference was Conducted by Pastor Fredrick W Ssemazi of Amazing grace Christian Assembly Muyenga Bukasa who also doubles as the Minister of Church Planting at the National fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda, a body that organises and an umbrella organisation under which Born again Churches in Uganda fellowship.
Pastor Godfrey Saazi Mwesigwa is the Senior pastor of Life tarbanacle Worship center Kiwafu Kansanga and a member of the unity of Born again Churches in Muyenga Bukasa.
Pr Godfrey Mwesigwa Saazi taught about what Evangelism is and why we need to evangelize and how to evangelize.
He also talked about the requirements of evangelizing:
Pastor Kwagala John Patrick of Trinity Church gave a testimony of how they used to go to the islands to preach the Gospel four times a year and how they used to contribute that money from the Church. One time he came up with a plan of buying their own instruments. As hey started contributing that amount, they were only able to raise 4million Uganda Shillings. Which was not enough to buy eqquipment that can be used for out door activities.
Thus they decided to stop preaching the Gospel untill they get the instruments they want. On making such a decission, money also became a big problem in their Church to the point that Members no longer gave in enough. But when he came back and anounced the return to preaching the Gospel as always with or without Money, |God started opening doors for them to get the amounts they need. Thus he urged members to just go and preach and the owner of the Job JESUS CHRIST will amke a way where there seems to be no way.
This testimony was a real encouragement to some of us who think in order to evangelize our community, we must wait for money to be available or wait for foreign Missioneries.
